Changes the process for membership signup and renewals.
Once this setting is enabled under the Membership General Settings, the sign-up process will be simplified for members, ensuring they provide the correct email address. This will help reduce the occurrence of duplicate accounts, make it easier for members to navigate to signup or renewals. Additionally, the selection of products and membership levels will be made clearer and easier to read, improving the overall user experience.

Membership Signup/Renewal Configuration Settings
The configuration settings for the new signup and renewal process can be found under Membership > Settings > General Settings.
There are three settings you can choose from:
1. Opt-in to New Signup/Renew Page - this settings turns on the new process detailed below
2. Show Level Description in Product Selection - this setting allows you to display the membership level descriptions in the accordion and comparison display of the products on the membership page or during the signup and renewal process.
3. Show Products and Prices - this settings turns on a membership products and prices widget to your membership page. This widget can be then configured further via the website pages area. You can alternatively have this widget displayed any any website page using widgets.
NOTE: Changing these settings will not change your membership forms, prices, products or membership level in anyway. It will only change the workflow and steps a new and renewing member takes. It will add a new button into your header and may also show your membership level descriptions if turned on.
New Members Signing Up
For websites using standard designs, the new setting will change the utility buttons to now have a Join, Renew and Login Button.
For new members signing up for a membership, when they click the Join now in the header, it will show them two options, prompting them to enter their details to Join Now.
Once the details are provided, the system will send a 6-digit code to the email address.
The new members will be able to view all available membership levels they can sign up for. To proceed, the members need to select a product from the listed options.
If a club or organisation has more than 5 membership levels active, the list will be displayed as an accordion list with search functionality to make it easier for members to find the product they are looking for.
After selecting a membership product, the members will need to complete the membership form with the account information already pre-populated. The email address will serve as the default username, but the members can change it while filling out the form.
The new members simply need to follow the prompts until they reach the payment stage. The page also shows the payment method available.
For manual payments, such as cash or direct deposit, the members' membership request will be sent to the pending dashboard and will require the admin's payment confirmation as well as membership approval.
For credit and debit card payments, membership approval depends on how the membership level was set up. For more details, please refer to the following link: Membership Level Setup
Members need to click 'Next' and enter their card details to proceed.
Once the transaction is complete, the members will receive a welcome email from the club with further details and instructions. Managing Automated Membership Emails.
Members can now manage their secondary members if available.
Members Renewing Their Membership via Website
This section shows how members can renew their membership via website. For the mobile app, please see here: Renewing Via The Mobile App
Once the members reached the Leeway Days of the membership they signed up for, or after receiving the renewal email reminder, the renewal button will appear under the membership tab.
Members will likely also receive renewal reminder notices by email as well - https://support.memberjungle.com/membership-global-settings#expiry-renewal-reminders. If a renew link is clicked in these emails, it will forward members to login and direct them to this page to renew.
Once the renewal button is clicked, a pop-up page will appear displaying all the products under the membership level. The members only need to select the product with a 'star' icon if they wish to renew under the same membership product.
Once selected, the members have an option to update their membership details.
Members simply need to follow the prompt process until they reach the payment stage, which is the same as when signing up for membership levels.
Existing Members Signing Up for Additional Membership Level
For existing members wishing to signing to additional levels, they can navigate to their account and under the membership tab they should see 'Join Membership Levels'.
Once clicked, a pop-up page will display all the other available membership levels that the members can sign up for.
Current members only need to select the membership product and follow the prompt process, which is similar to signing up for a new membership level. Once completed, and the membership payment and approval have been processed, the updated membership will appear in their account.
Scenarios when a new member signs up with the same details.
- Members signing up with an existing email address but a different name.
The system will display a message notifying members that they may have an existing account, providing the option to either 'Continue Creating Account' or 'Restart Application.' The login username will be auto-populated with their email address.
- Members signing up with the same name and email address will receive the same message. However, in this case, the system will not offer the option to 'Continue Creating Account,' as the details match an existing account in the system.
