A favicon or website icon is the icon that is displayed in the website page title and bookmark.
To upload a Favicon to your site (depending on your package) you must be a Site Administrator. Navigate to Dashboard from the top menu and click on Site Design from the left hand menu.
Navigate to the bottom of the image management tab and you will see the option to upload a Favicon.
Click on edit to upload a new favicon, please be aware
- Your favicon image MUST be square
- The recommended size is 32px x 32px, however the uploader will resize larger images
Once you have selected a an image you will be prompted to approve the change of favicon and then shown a message upon completion that the favicon can take up to a week to take affect. This is due to browser caching (i.e. website browsers like Chrome, Edge, Safari etc save the images to decrease loading time).
If you wish to see your new favicon earlier, clear your browser cache. Doing this will be different for each browser, but you should be able to find instructions online - here are Chrome Instructions as an example.
Your Favicon will appear for your site in the browser tabs as shown in the example below, once the change has taken effect.
