Events

Start and Expiry Dates

You can now add start and expiry dates to tickets and products in the events module. This will allow you to offer staged Early Bird prices, which automatically switch turn on and off as scheduled.

Show Member Prices

You can now publicly promote that you have restricted tickets and discounted member tickets for your events, to encourage people to join as members. There is now a new option - "Show All Tickets and Prices" which makes it easier for people to see all available ticket options before they login.

Guest and Easier Checkout

We have now introduced an easier way for both members and guests to checkout and purchase event tickets. Guest's no longer have to create a username and password. They can simply enter their details and proceed to purchase. If they appear to already have an account with the same details, they will be prompted to log in at the start of the process.

Tip of the Month

I recently had someone running a major event who didn't realise how many reports were available. They hadn't seen the Ticket Report (which is worth a look) and didn't realise the Attendance Report allowed email communication with different attendees including:

  • Members vs non members and 

  • Main attendees and secondary attendees

If you use "Account" ticketing fields in events that collect people's names and email addresses, you can email both the person who bought the ticket and everyone for whom they purchased a ticket.
