Membership discounts can be applied to specific membership products or all types of memberships. You can also choose whether the discount applies solely to membership products or includes add-on items from the online store during signup and renewal.
This feature is only available in selected packages If you don't see this feature in your navigation, please feel free to submit a support ticket for more details.
To get started, please navigate to Membership > Settings > Discount Coupons.
Click Add Discount Coupon. Then, fill in the details.
- Coupon Code – The name or identifier for the discount.
- Notes – Additional details or remarks about the discount code, if needed.
- Start Date – The date when the discount code becomes active. If left empty, the discount coupon will be usable immediately after it is activated.
- End Date – The date the discount code will no longer work. If left empty, the coupon will remain usable indefinitely until an expiry date is set or it is manually deactivated.
- Restrict to Product – A dropdown list of all available products. Select a specific membership product if you want the discount code to apply only to that product. Leave this field as "Not Restricted" to make the discount applicable to all membership products.
- Coupon Type – Select whether the discount applies only to membership prices or also includes membership-linked add-on items from the online store.
- Discount Amount – Choose whether the discount is a percentage or a fixed amount.
Click Add Coupon to save once done.
The coupon code is inactive by default. You need to manually activate the discount coupon.
You can identify if a discount applies to both membership and add-on items from the online store by checking for a cart icon next to the discount name. If there is no cart icon, the discount applies to membership only. Also, if the discount is restricted to a specific membership product, the membership product name will appear beside the discount code.
You can view how many times each discount code has been redeemed by clicking the number icon in the 'Redeemed' column.
Below are the other icons you may see and their corresponding functions:
Editing a Coupon Code – You can update an existing coupon, such as extending its end date or modifying other details.
Inactive Status of a Coupon – Indicates that the discount code is currently disabled and cannot be used.
Active Status of a Coupon – Indicates that the discount code is enabled and available for use.
Deleting a Discount Coupon – Permanently removes the coupon from the system. This action cannot be undone.
